City of Arcata Foster Avenue Extension

Points West performed a street improvement survey for a 1,800 foot road extension for the City of Arcata. Boundary, topographic and utility data were compiled over a 4.5 acre parcel including adjacent street frontages. Survey data was plotted atop color digital orthophoto imagery from team member 3DiWest. Land Development Desktop software was utilized to produce a base drawing with a planimetry and digital terrain model. The survey has enabled the City of Arcata to move forward with preliminary designs and grant applications.

Points West also prepared an Appraisal map for this project. This cross town connection will re-route traffic from an adjacent residential area and create an arterial route with bike and pedestrian lanes.
