Saint Joseph Hospital, Eureka

Points West Surveying was responsible for construction staking of the site improvements and excavation for the 150 million dollar St. Joseph Hospital Expansion in Eureka, Ca. This project entails working at an operating Hospital which requires close coordination between Architect, Engineers, and Contractors through multiple work phases.

The work was complicated by the discovery of numerous underground utilities serving the existing hospital whose locations were unknown or inaccurately shown on design drawings. Supplemental surveys were performed based on potholed locations to enable design team to resolve issues with conflicts. These surveys were done on short notice with a quick turn around to keep job on schedule.
